Carnivore Ice Cream Recipe (Meat-Lover’s Unique Treat)
Servings: 1.5 quarts (1.4 liters)
Ingredients:
– 2 cups (475ml) heavy cream
– 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
– 1/2 cup (115g) granulated sugar
– 1/4 cup (55g) unsalted butter, softened
– 2 tablespoons bacon fat or drippings
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 cup (115g) crumbled cooked bacon
– 1/2 cup (55g) diced cooked prosciutto or ham
– 1/4 cup (30g) chopped chives or scallions
Instructions:
1. Combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and softened butter in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar dissolves.
2. Remove from heat and stir in bacon fat, vanilla extract, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Let mixture cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
4. Churn mixture in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
5. During the last 2 minutes of churning, add crumbled bacon, diced prosciutto, and chopped chives.
6. Transfer ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours.
No Ice Cream Maker?
– Pour mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish and freeze for 2-3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
